Liberty Gaels Camogie Club in New York
Liberty Gaels Camogie Club was established in 2014, becoming the first club to introduce adult Camogie to New York at a time when women’s Gaelic games in the region were largely confined to ladies’ football.
The club quickly rose to prominence, participating in the North American Championships at a time when there was no other Camogie competition in New York. In their first year competing, they enjoyed immediate success, winning the Senior North American title in Chicago.
Building on that momentum, the Liberty Gaels senior team went on to secure three consecutive Senior North American titles in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
